COVID-19 – Commentary from BIBA
This document sets out fourteen issues raised by the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. BIBA have sought support from UK Insurers on these issues.
This paper will be of interest to CILA members, whether acting on behalf of insurers or policyholders, as it provides insight into some of the “market issues” which are under consideration and may be appropriate to raise in claim discussions. Issues include: policy renewals, event insurance, home working, insolvency, business interruption claims, payment holidays, business rates, TOBA clauses, travel insurance, Motor Insurance Database, Pool Re, Non-disclosure, renewal pricing and unoccupied property.
