Property Flood Resilience
This presentation was delivered as part of the CILA Conference 2016 programme. It provides insight into the vision and activities of UK government in relation to flooding and flood resilience.
The presentation starts with a summary of the winter floods of 2015/2016 and the nature of the National Flood Resilience Review. The speaker, Robbie Craig of Defra, explains what is meant by Property Level Flood Resilience and gives examples of measures that can be implemented within properties. He also references the Bonfield Review, including the recommendations from this review and the outcomes of research into low cost resilient adaptation.
